Curious about fifth wheels but nervous about the truck bill? The Meridian 280RK is how a lot of our customers make the jump. At 8,120 pounds dry with about 1,540 on the pin, it pairs with a properly equipped three-quarter-ton, and the extended pin box gives short-bed crew cabs room to turn.

It is a straightforward rear-kitchen floorplan with one large living slide. Cooks get a wraparound counter under the rear window, the sofa and booth dinette sit in the slide, and a freestanding recliner tucks in across from them. Up the steps, there is a queen with a wardrobe and a bath with a real 36-inch shower.
